Robot vacuums in 2026 do far more than vacuum. Models from around ฿10,000 now have docks that wash the mop in hot water, dry it, and empty the dust bin for you. But suction figures racing into the tens of thousands of Pa do not tell you which model suits your home.

Thai homes have quirks most reviews ignore. Bathroom floors are usually 5–10 cm lower than other rooms, while most robots only climb about 2 cm. Bangkok’s humidity, around 80% in the rainy season, makes mop pads go sour quickly if the dock cannot dry them. And a small condo may have no room for a big dock.

We compared 8 robot vacuums with an official distributor in Thailand, from about ฿5,000 to over ฿30,000, by home size, threshold height and pets, with Thai warranty and electricity costs included.

How we made this comparison

We chose models sold through official shops or major retailers in Thailand, took specs from the brands’ websites, and checked prices at HomePro, BNN, Priceza and official shops on 13 October 2026. Some shops show inflated “normal” prices, so we used the real selling price we saw. We did not test the robots ourselves; scores are our editors’ scores. How we choose

  • Suction18,500 Pa
  • NavigationLiDAR + Reactive Tech
  • Moppingdual spinning pads at 200 rpm, lifts 10 mm
  • Dockauto-empty, 75°C wash, 45°C hot-air dry, auto refill

  • Accurate LiDAR navigation
  • Lifts the mop pads on carpet

Cons

  • Roborock did not state battery capacity, run time or climbing height on the pages we saw
  • Large dock, so plan the space

Our verdict: For an ordinary house or condo where you want a robot that needs almost no attention, this gives you every essential feature at the best price. If your thresholds are over 2 cm, look at the models that climb 4 cm.

No. 2

Best on a small budget

Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S40

4.2/5 our score

About ฿4,990–6,800

  • Suction10,000 Pa

  • Long battery life covers a medium home in one go
  • Brush reduces hair tangling

Cons

  • No auto-empty or mop-washing dock: you empty the bin and wash the pad yourself
  • A drag pad is for wiping dust, not heavy stains

Our verdict: A good first robot for a condo or dorm. For better obstacle avoidance, the S40 Pro (about ฿9,999–10,990) adds structured light and lifts its mop 10 mm.

No. 3

Thresholds and bathroom steps: check this first in a Thai home

A robot vacuum approaching the step down from a room into a lower bathroom
A lower bathroom floor is one of the most common obstacles in Thai homes

A Kasikornbank article notes that Thai bathroom floors are usually built 5–10 cm lower than other rooms to stop water flowing out. Most robots in this guide climb about 2 cm. The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 and Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Pro manage 4 cm, and the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 Max reaches 6 cm.

  • Measure every threshold in the home before you buy, from the floor to the top edge
  • Set wet bathrooms as no-go zones in the app whether the robot can climb in or not: water and humidity can damage it
  • If only one threshold is 2–3 cm, a small rubber ramp costing a few hundred baht may make more sense than a pricier robot
  • Check the robot’s height too if you want it under beds or sofas: the Roborock Saros 20, for example, is only 7.98 cm tall

Which dock is worth it in a humid climate?

A robot vacuum parked in a tall self-emptying, mop-washing dock against a condo wall
A full dock empties the robot and washes and dries the mop for you

Bangkok’s average monthly humidity sits around 60–81%, peaking in September and October. A wet mop left in the dock goes musty fast, which is why docks with hot-air drying are worth more in Thai homes.

Drying temperatures here range from 45°C (Roborock Qrevo S Pro, ECOVACS T80) to 55°C (Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Pro). Hot-water washing draws 1,200 W or more for short bursts, while about 2 hours of drying uses roughly 0.3 units of electricity, or about ฿1 per cycle.

How to choose a robot vacuum: 5 points

1. Navigation matters more than suction

Robots with LiDAR or laser navigation map the home accurately and clean in neat rows. Every model here has it or something close. On hard floors like tile and wood, about 10,000 Pa is enough; higher figures mostly help on carpet.

2. Match the mop to your floors

Drag pads are fine for daily dusting, dual spinning pads press down harder, and rollers handle sticky stains best because they rinse themselves while mopping. With carpets, choose a model that lifts the mop at least 10 mm or leaves it in the dock.

3. Measure the space for the dock

A full dock needs clear floor in front for the robot to come and go. Measure first in a small condo: the ECOVACS mini 2 dock is just 32 cm wide, while the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 Max dock with its ramp measures 47 × 36 × 58 cm.

4. Buy from official shops for the local warranty

Xiaomi and ECOVACS give 1 year on the robot, and Thai retailers list 2 years for Roborock and Dreame. A grey import may be ฿2,000–4,000 cheaper, but claims can be difficult.

5. Privacy with camera models

AI cameras dodge cables and toys better. If images of your home worry you, pick a model where recognition can be switched off, such as the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 (off by default), or one that uses structured light instead.

How the brands compare in Thailand

Roborock

Strong on navigation and hot-washing docks, with a 2-year warranty listed by Thai retailers and models at every price.

Xiaomi

Affordable from the entry level, and the 6 and 6 Max climb the highest thresholds on the market. 1-year warranty; the service centre hotline is 1800-014-171.

ECOVACS

Small models for condos and roller models for pet homes. 1-year warranty; the Thai service centre is on 02-114-8683.

Dreame

High suction at mid-range prices and mops that reach the skirting. Thai retailers list a 2-year warranty.

iRobot

iRobot filed for Chapter 11 in the US in December 2025, and Picea completed its acquisition in January 2026. We could not confirm a current Thai distributor, so iRobot is not included here.

Our take

Before you look at suction, measure your thresholds, match the mop to your floors and check where the dock will go. If your floors are flat and thresholds are 2 cm or less, the Roborock Qrevo S Pro is this year’s best value. For a small condo, choose the ECOVACS DEEBOT mini 2. For tiled homes with steps between rooms, move up to the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6.

A robot keeps floor dust down every day, but fine airborne dust and mites in the mattress need other tools. Read our guides to the best air purifiers and the best dust mite vacuums.

Frequently asked questions

Is a robot vacuum worth it?

Yes, if you want clean floors every day without the effort, especially with pets or allergies at home. You still need to pick things up off the floor, such as cables and socks, and clean high spots and stairs yourself.

How much electricity does a robot vacuum use per month?

Daily cleaning uses about 3.5 units a month. At an average ฿3.95 per unit plus VAT, that is around ฿15 a month. Docks that wash with hot water and dry the mop add roughly ฿1 per cycle.

How high a threshold or bathroom step can it climb?

Most models climb about 2 cm. The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 and Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Pro climb 4 cm, and the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 Max 6 cm. Set wet bathrooms as no-go zones.

What should I choose with cats or dogs?

Pick a model with an anti-tangle brush and good obstacle avoidance, such as the ECOVACS T80 OMNI or the Roborock Qrevo 2 Pro (about ฿17,399–18,999). An auto-empty dock helps a lot, because pet hair fills the bin fast.

Do mop pads get musty? Do I need hot-air drying?

In Thailand’s humidity, a mop left wet is very likely to go musty. If you mop often, a hot-air drying dock is worth the extra. Without one, take the pad off to wash and dry it each time.

Which dock suits a small condo?

Measure first. If you want mop washing in a tight space, the ECOVACS DEEBOT mini 2 has the smallest dock in this guide. If you do not need mopping, the Xiaomi S40’s simple charging base takes the least room.

Are camera models safe for privacy?

Cameras improve obstacle avoidance, and many models let you switch off image recognition. The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 has it off by default. Use a strong app password and keep the firmware updated.

How is buying from an official shop different from a grey import?

Official shops give you a Thai service-centre warranty and easy access to parts and consumables. A grey import may be several thousand baht cheaper, but claims are harder and the app or language support may be limited.
